LOS ANGELES, USA - Hollywood actress Anne Heche was hospitalized in a coma and connected to a ventilator on Monday, August 8, four days after being seriously injured in a car accident in Los Angeles.
Heche, 53, was hospitalized Friday morning after the van he was driving in Los Angeles' Westside spun out of control and caught fire, police said.
No one in the house was injured, but the impact caused the house to catch fire, requiring the arrival of several firefighters.
Hetze fell into a coma and did not regain consciousness shortly after the accident, said Michael McConnell, a member of Zero Gravity Management, the Los Angeles law firm that represents him. “He is now in critical condition,” he told Reuters, “Hetze suffered severe lung damage that required a ventilator and burns that required surgery.
She made headlines in the late 1990s for his relationship with singer Ellen DeGeneres at a time when DeGeneres went public with homosexuality. After the split, Heche married photographer Coleman Laffoon, but later divorced her, and she maintained a relationship with her co-star James Tupper on the short-lived TV show Men in Trees for the next few years.
