Nine were harmed at Fort Gordon Army base due to lightning in Georgia at around 11.10am on Wednesday.
Representative public undertakings official Anne Bowman said: 'It is with overwhelming sadness Fort Gordon affirms one of the warriors in the lightning strike this evening capitulated to their wounds.'
The trooper's personality won't be delivered until his family is advised, Ms Bowman said. Fort Gordon has not delivered particulars on the state of the nine other harmed troopers.
The fort conducts base help tasks to 'empower mission preparation and gives an upgraded personal satisfaction for the Service Members, Families and Civilians of Fort Gordon and the Gillem Enclave', expresses its site.
