Woman died after being impaled by beach umbrella at South Carolina Beach

A beachgoer was killed Wednesday after a free beach umbrella skewered her in the chest, specialists said.

Tammy Perreault was killed after she was skewered in the chest by a beach umbrella that had blown away in a whirlwind.

The umbrella was blown from its securing by the breeze around 12:40 p.m. what's more, hit Tammy Perreault while she was at a Garden City beach, Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard told media sources.

Perreault, 63, passed on about an hour after the fact at the emergency clinic from chest injury, Willard said.
